Aptera is excited to announce that all of its vehicles will come equipped with DC fast charging, including the first Launch Edition vehicles that will roll off the assembly line. The company will be able to offer between 40 and 60kW of DC Fast Charging with the Launch Edition vehicles. Once testing is completed, an update on the max charge rate will be provided. Aptera also plans to develop a 100kW version for release in the future. The DC Fast Charging system is designed to work with the Super Charger Network, which means that if Tesla agrees to open their network up to Aptera owners, the Launch Edition vehicle will be ready to use it. With more North American Charging Standard posts than all of the CCS-equipped networks combined, Tesla’s Supercharging network could be a huge selling point for future Aptera owners.
Aptera was always meant to be a true road-trip vehicle, and with the fast charging standard, the company can’t wait to see where its customers will take their vehicles.
